Five years ago the Victorian Government in Australia selected sourceit as the technology platform to be used by their print management unit. During this time sourceit successfully managed over 55,000 transactions, supporting a supply panel of over 370 suppliers.
Under the terms of the contract, the Government were required to go to market for a total review of technology and BPO services. The new tender required vendors and their technology platform, to not only support existing demand but include a greater emphasis on digital transformation and the ability to manage a broader range of products and services.
Given the size, scope and demands of the client, a robust selection process was adopted to ensure a best in market BPO and technology partner was selected. The Victorian Government’s procurement team managed the process and included a User Review Group (URG) made up of key stakeholders. The role of the URG was to assess the credentials of the various BPO providers and conduct live trials of each technology platform to ensure functionality described in ‘pitch’ documents matched the reality of performance, features and use.
In the end, sourceit was the hands down winner with the URG commenting specifically on the feature rich platform and ease of use.
This is a great win for sourceit and our Australian Channel Partner and was a great opportunity to work closely with them during the pitch process, said Alan Paul, CEO of sourceit.
As the technology partner, to be actively compared and tested against other global software providers, and then to be selected due to our ease of use and functionality, really does vindicate our focus on simplicity, standardisation and automation.
We look forward to continuing our innovative development and approach to supporting our client and their customer over the next five years.
